Esprow is delighted to announce that John Davies has joined our Advisory Board, bringing over 30 years of experience as a business leader in the financial services industry, combining entrepreneurial experience with fintech innovation.
John has been in financial services for over 35 years, initially running FX technology at Paribas, as head of architecture in BNP Paribas, global head of architecture at JPMC, and head of architecture at VISA Inc. Between banks and payment networks John co-founded C24 in 2000, a software house providing SWIFT & ISO 20022 integration and transformation tooling, which was sold to a NASDAQ company in 2007. In 2008 John founded Incept5, an R&D incubator, bought back C24 in 2011, and sold it again to an LSE-listed company. Recently John co-founded Velo Payments with the former president of VISA.
John has co-authored several Java books and is a frequent speaker at technical and banking conferences around the world. John can still be found programming, and his other passions include road cycling, photography, astrophotography, classical guitar, and mathematics. He is married to a French wife and has three boys at university.
